Gut Healing Paleo Hot Chocolate

It’s officially the Christmas season and that means our lights are up and I’m craving everything cozy and warm, including a healthier, gut healing version of hot chocolate.

Because I’m not really drinking a lot of tea during my pregnancy, I’ve been missing my warm, comforting drink at night. And so I created one for myself!

I figured a Gut Healing Paleo Hot Chocolate would be the perfect, pregnancy safe, addition to the holiday season. And this recipe does not disappoint!

This hot chocolate is made will all natural, real-food ingredients and features collagen peptides to add in that gut healing boost!

Gut Healing Paleo Hot Chocolate


  • 1/2 cup full fat coconut milk

  • 3/4 cup nut milk (I like almond or cashew)

  • 1 Tbsp cacao powder

  • 1 Tbsp honey or maple syrup (or you can easily skip the sweetener too)

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 scoop Equip Collagen Peptides


  • Add all ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat.

  • Whisk constantly while heating the mixture to desired temperature and until all the cacao powder is dissolved.

  • Pour into a mug and enjoy (I like to top it with some coconut whip cream!)
